Expansion of travel clinics to multiple Bartell’s locations

Around the world, health news is constantly changing. Whether it’s a new destination, or a road regularly traveled, international journeys can present health situations to those unaware of current circumstances. Before traveling internationally, it is often recommended that customers visit a travel clinic. Now at 57 Bartell’s locations, travelers can receive a customized medical travel plan for any destination. Bartell’s travel consultant pharmacists can prescribe and administer travel vaccines such as those for yellow fever, typhoid and other conditions.

As part of the appointment, patients receive personalized information about their destination and potential health related scenarios. Travel pharmacists will make recommendations for necessary vaccines or medications tailored to the patient’s health history and destination. Since most vaccines take approximately 14 days to be fully effective, it is best to visit the travel clinic 6-8 weeks prior to departing. All decisions made by travel clinic pharmacists are based on the latest CDC guidelines.
