The season of giving has arrived! It’s time for our 16th Annual Toy ‘N’ Joy donation drive in partnership with the Salvation Army! From November 18th to December 15th, customers are encouraged to visit any of our 66 neighborhood locations and donate new, unwrapped gifts to benefit children in the Puget Sound area.
Many families are unable to purchase gifts for their loved ones during the holidays. Families like Christina’s* are grateful for your help in making the holiday season bright.
As a single mother of three, with one of her children battling leukemia, she was living paycheck to paycheck and was uncertain how she was going to pay for Christmas gifts. Through a neighbor, she found The Salvation Army, where she received assistance for food and presents for her children donated by people in the community. On Christmas morning, with her children playing and full of joy, they could finally have the holiday of their dreams.
The Salvation Army mentioned a particular need for toys and gifts for older children. Here are some great suggestions to get you started!
