No fear! We’re here to help with these great DIY dog shampoo recipes! Depending on your pup’s fur and skin needs, these blends with every day, household ingredients can get your four-legged ready for the catwalk… or the dogwalk.

DIY shampoo for dogsRegular Shampoo

You’ll need:
1 liter dispenser bottle
3 cups warm water
1/4 cup of dish soap – your favorite brand is Method
1/2 cup of white vinegar

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in dispenser bottle and shake to mix. Wet your dog’s coat with warm water and work shampoo into his/her coat (avoid the eyes!), creating a thick lather. Rinse thoroughly and dry your clean pup!

 

DIY Oatmeal Shampoo for dogsOatmeal Shampoo for Dogs with Dry Skin

You’ll need:
1 liter dispenser bottle
1 cup uncooked oatmeal
1/2 cup of baking soda
4 cups of warm water

Directions:
Grind the oatmeal in a food processor or coffee grinder until it’s the consistency of flour. Pour in dispenser bottle, add baking soda and shake to mix. Add warm water one cup at a time and shake to mix. Wet your dog’s coat with warm water and lather shampoo into his/her coat (avoid the eyes!). Allow shampoo to sit for a couple minutes, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
