Bartell’s supports Seattle Children’s Purchase a Miracle Campaign
The annual cause-marketing campaign helps fund local cancer research and clinical trials
Emmy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma at age 2. Receiving this devastating news not only brought fear for Emmy’s life, but also fear for the financial burden that treatment entails. Over the course of 18 months, Emmy spent more than 200 nights at Seattle Children’s. With little to no resources outside of standard health insurance, Emmy’s family worried about how they were going to pay for the care that she needed. With generous support from Seattle Children’s, Emmy’s family could focus entirely on getting her well – and not on how much financial weight that cancer care brings.
The Seattle Children’s Purchase a Miracle campaign raises awareness and funds locally to provide aid for families like Emmy’s. This cause currently benefits cancer research and clinical trials at the hospital. Customers can “purchase a miracle” at Bartell’s now through June 15th. Throughout the store, sponsoring products are highlighted by lime-green shelf tags featuring Emmy.
“Seattle Children’s and Bartell’s share a long history of commitment to families in our community,” said Jane Stiehl, Program Manager at Seattle Children’s. “We love partnering with Bartell’s during the annual Purchase a Miracle campaign. This support gives us hope to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible”.
Since 1907, Seattle Children’s has been faithful to its mission to provide all children in the region with medical care, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Bartell’s is proud to support the Purchase a Miracle program in all store locations.
